An image with an exterior wall hidden to highlight the relationship of the gallery and the studio above it.

The completed model for artists Fiona Hall and Rosalie Gascoigne. Hall's studio space was below ground and the word used as a basis for the design was "tantalize". This studio incorporates the use of a custom texture (intense) to emphasize how obsessive a tantalizing thought can become. Rosalie Gascoigne's studio above the gallery space features the use of glass windows to underline the "rumination" involved in the design process. The offset windows and wall structures provide limitless opportunity for the mind to explore. The gallery features the simplistic use of materials. Concrete slab constitutes the majority of the building both whilst glass has been used to counter its heaviness. The initial notebook section sketches for this particular model were posted on this blog earlier.
