The initial research into the proposed art gallery in Newtown led me to its historical setting, and the direct Aboriginal heritage King St in particular holds. This naturally led me to the concept of an art gallery which would display Aboriginal art in an acknowledgment of the sites history. Through extensive reading and research three themes were established and would maintain the conceptual foundations for the scheme from conception to realisation.
